A PET device (100) includes an optical-coupling peeling test unit (27). As an example, the optical-coupling peeling test unit (27) inputs an electric signal to a piezoelectric device or the like bonded to a detector module (14) and generates an acoustic wave in the detector module (14). The optical-coupling peeling test unit (27) also detects the acoustic wave that has propagated through the detector module (14) and performs a frequency analysis of the detected acoustic wave. Based on the analysis result, the optical-coupling peeling test unit (27) discovers a frequency distribution unique to the surface on which an optical coupling peeling has occurred and performs a comparison with a frequency distribution obtained in a previous test, thereby detecting the presence or absence of an optical coupling peeling.
