<p>A stereoscopic image viewing device, which is attached to glasses so as to view stereoscopic images, is provided with: a pair of optical shutters for the left eye and the right eye; a drive circuit for the pair of optical shutters; a power supply for driving the pair of optical shutters; a bridge that supports the pair of optical shutters at the inside end section of each; a tether section that allows the stereoscopic image viewing device to be freely attached to and detached from the glasses; and a support section that supports the drive circuit and the power supply. The power supply contains rechargeable batteries. The tether section and support section are integrated with the bridge. The center of gravity of the stereoscopic image viewing device is located at the bridge.</p>
