Provided is a liquid leakage detection system obtained by improving conventional liquid leakage detection systems, the liquid leakage detection system being configured in such a manner that the system does not require the supply of electric power from the outside, is more inexpensive, and has a simpler configuration. A liquid leakage detection system (10) includes a tube (11) for liquid, a syringe needle (12) which is connected to the tube (11), an absorptive member (16) which is disposed in the vicinity of the tip (12a) of the syringe needle (12) having been inserted into the skin of the patient, and a sensor structure (14) which is disposed on the upper side or inside of the absorptive member (16).
