<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine capable of surely supplying a detergent into a rotary tub without accumulation of the detergent remaining undissolved in a water supply case when the detergent is fed into the water supply case. <P>SOLUTION: A washing machine according to an embodiment of the invention includes a washing machine body, a water tub, a rotary tub and a water supply unit. The water supply unit includes a water supply valve and a water supply case which receives and stores water from the water supply valve. The water supply case includes a water reception part and a water storage part. The water reception part receives the water from the water supply valve. The water storage part is disposed at a position lower than the water reception part and stores the water from the water reception part. Of wall surfaces forming the water storage part, the wall surfaces facing the inside of the rotary tub from above are provided with water injection holes for supplying the water in the water storage part into the rotary tub.
