<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cast a slab of high quality over the whole in the width direction of the cast slab. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of reference side rolls and a plurality of opposite side reference side rolls provided at the support roll group of the continuous casting apparatus for a slab are divided at the same division number, respectively, and also, regarding the width direction of the slab to be subjected to continuous casting in which the maximum width is W and also thickness is T, within the range of the width W-T other than the width of T/2 respectively from both the edges in the width direction of the slab, the plurality of the rolls are divided at the division positions of N kinds which are mutually different (N≥5×(S-1)(wherein, N is a natural number, and S is a division number of the plurality of rolls and is a natural number of ≥2)). Regarding the plurality of reference side rolls and the plurality of opposite side reference side rolls, respectively, the ratio of the rolls present in which the division positions are present in the width direction position thereof to the whole number of the rolls included in the plurality of rolls is 0 to 20%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
