This invention relates to a portable folding table, in particular a massage table, comprising a table top (1) made up of at least four sections (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) mounted on rigid hinged frames (2a), means for locking the table in the erected position, said table top having legs (3) comprising at least two parts (3a, 3b) hinged together, the first parts (3a) being hinged to the end sections (1a, 1d); bracing means, comprising two arms (7, 8) hinged together, are hinged to the end sections (1a, 1d); locking means (9, 10) are used between the arms (7, 8) and/or the legs (3). There are cables (C1) for connecting the hinges (31) of said arms (7, 8) above (b1) the hinges (b) of the legs (3) to the end sections (1a, 1d), and means for locking the hinge (6) between the parts (3a) and (3b) of the legs to keep the legs erect and render the table rigid, the whole being designed in such a way that the hinged legs and arms of each half of the table, once folded, fold into the frames (2a). |
