摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with a high-quality display device and a touch panel, which has accurate thickness designed in a free range in accordance with the characteristics of liquid crystal used or a driving method without the use of particulate spacer.

SOLUTION: A display device comprises a display device including a first substrate, a second substrate, and plural columnar spacer arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate, and a touch panel including an optical detection element. The columnar spacer increases the mechanical strength to provide a strong panel.
