<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure causing few cracks even if incineration removal of collected fine particles is frequently repeated, and a gas treatment apparatus increasing in long term reliability by using the honeycomb structure. <P>SOLUTION: The honeycomb structure causing few cracks includes a cylindrical part 5 and a partition part 2 lattice-likely disposed inside the cylindrical part 5 so as to provide a plurality of flow holes. The plurality of the flow holes have first flow holes 16 and second flow holes 17 respectively disposed in rows from the inner side toward the outer side of the cylindrical part 5 and having different opened diameters. Third flow holes 18 having curved faces facing the cylindrical part 5 are provided on the extended lines of the disposing direction of the first flow holes 16 having a larger opened diameter.
