<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video reproduction apparatus and a video reproduction method capable of making easy content acquisition of content data of a reproduction object. <P>SOLUTION: The video reproduction apparatus comprises: separation means; keyword extraction means; reproduction means; display control means; and reproduction position changing means. The separation means separates video information and caption information from content data. The keyword extraction means extracts a keyword from caption information, and records it on a storage medium one by one with a display time of a caption including this keyword. The reproduction means decodes a video from the video information, and makes it to be displayed on a display screen. The display control means displays said one or more keywords recorded in the storage medium on the display screen side by side in the order of display time.
