<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a twist-preventing damper making snow accretion uneven so as to deter lift force, caused by wind, against overhead power transmission lines and ground wires. <P>SOLUTION: The twist-preventing damper comprises: a collar 40 for being fixed on an armor rod 60 covered over an overhead power transmission line and/or a ground wire 70; a loose clamp 50, at one side of the collar 40, crimping the collar 40 to the armor rod 60 to grip both of them; and a clamp section 30 including a rotary movable part 32 and a fitting part 34. The rotary movable part 32 and the collar 40 have stoppers 36 and 45 respectively to stop rotation at a prescribed rotation angle. The rotary movable part 32 is attached on the other side of the collar 40. The fitting part 34 has a rod 20 fitly inserted therein.
