<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method for nondestructively detecting an internal defect of a foam so as to solve the problem in which there has been no effective inspection method since an ultrasonic wave, which is generally used for a nondestructive inspection method, is reflected against a boundary surface between a film layer and an air layer, which constitute a foam, and is not transmitted through a foam. <P>SOLUTION: The problem is solved by using a burst wave ultrasonic wave or a chirp wave ultrasonic wave as the ultrasonic wave for a nondestructive inspection since they are transmitted through the foam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
