<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load-on-seat detection device that decreases the man-hour of maintenance by eliminating unnecessary zero-point correction. <P>SOLUTION: The load-on-seat detection device includes a load sensor 14 which is provided to a seat 1, and outputs a load signal corresponding to a strain amount. A load on the seat 1 is detected based upon the load signal of the load sensor 14. A CPU 31 determines a sitting state or a vacant state of the seat 1 based upon large/small relation between the detected load and a threshold. The CPU 31 drives an indicator 44 to illuminate once detecting a shock during a vehicle collision. When detecting a shock, the CPU 31 stores a memory 35 with diagnostic information representing whether zero-point correction of the load sensor 14 is necessary corresponding to a determination result of the sitting state or vacant state of the seat 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
