<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sealability between a first divided body and a second divided body, and to prevent a filter from being dropped with a simple structure in an oil strainer configured so that the first divided body and the second divided body form an oil inflow space. <P>SOLUTION: An upper divided body 2 is provided with an oil outflow part 22 causing the oil flowing into an oil inflow space R to flow out. A lower divided body 4 is provided with a filter 42 filtering the oil and causing the oil to flow into the oil inflow space R. An inner wall 24 and an outer wall 26 forming a fitting groove 25 between the inner wall 24 and the outer wall are formed over the entire periphery at a mating part of the upper divided body 2. A fitting wall 43 fitted into the fitting groove 25 is formed over the entire the circumference at a mating part of the lower divided body 4. An engaging claw 27 is formed at the outer wall 26.
