<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor including a reciprocating piston and improving efficiency and reliability by reducing a sliding loss. <P>SOLUTION: The hermetic compressor includes: an electric element composed of a stator and a rotor; a compression mechanism section driven by the electric element; and a sealed vessel housing the electric element and compression mechanism section and also storing lubricating oil. The compression mechanism section has: a shaft provided with a main shaft portion and an eccentric shaft portion; a cylinder forming a compression chamber; a piston reciprocating in the cylinder; and a bearing section pivotally supporting the main shaft portion. The shaft has: a centrifugal pump opened in the lubricating oil; a spiral groove carved into the main shaft section, having one end communicating with the centrifugal pump and the other end communicating with the upper portion of the main shaft portion, and conveying the lubricating oil upward; and a hollow portion dividing the sliding portion of the main shaft portion into upper and lower parts. In the hermetic compressor, an inverted spiral groove is carved into the lower sliding portion of the shaft and has one end communicating with the hollow portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
