FOUNDATION FOR STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation for a structure, which comprises a footing for being constructed on a steel pipe pile and a steel sheet pile wall for being constructed in the ground in such a manner as to surround the footing and which can be rationally and economically constructed, and a method for constructing the foundation.

SOLUTION: A foundation for a structure includes a steel pipe pile 3 for being driven into the ground 2, a reinforced concrete footing 4 for being constructed on the steel pipe pile 3, and a steel sheet pile wall 5 for being constructed in the ground 2 in such a manner as to surround the footing 4. The steel sheet pile wall 5 is constituted by coupling a plurality of U-shaped steel sheet piles 5a to one another in a corrugated shape in a plan view. The steel pipe pile 3 is driven into the ground 2 of the inside valley section of the steel sheet pile wall 5. A head of the steel pipe pile 3 and the steel sheet pile wall 5 are coupled to each other via coupling means composed of a reinforcement 9.
