<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the determination and checking of the extent of holding finishing. <P>SOLUTION: Marks of deep-color lines 3 with a width of about 1-2 millimeters are provided at both width-direction ends of a masking tape 1, respectively. A caulking method utilizes characteristics in which the human eye can more easily recognize the end and width of the line even from a longer distance in the case of the narrower line. When a caulking material 9 with transparency is infilled and held by a caulking spatula 10, the mark, to which the deep-color line is applied, is put into a see-through state to facilitate the checking and determination of the extent of the holding finishing.
