<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water vapor permeation prevention porous film having ventilation properties, capable of preventing water vapor permeation, capable of being manufactured not with a complicated form or structure but with an inexpensive material by a simple manufacturing method, having good productivity, inexpensively obtained without increasing manufacturing costs, having good gas permeability such as oxygen without increasing ventilation resistance, having high water vapor permeation blocking capability, and having good softness and flexibility. <P>SOLUTION: The water vapor permeation prevention porous film has ventilation properties and can prevent water vapor permeation. The water vapor permeation prevention porous film is a hydrophilic single-layer porous film having innumerable communication holes in the entire film formed in a three-dimensional network structure obtained by removing plasticizer from a film produced by melting and kneading a raw material composition mainly made of polyolefin-based resin, inorganic powder, and the plasticizer. The polyolefin-based resin has a weight-average molecular weight of 500,000 or more. The inorganic powder is hydrophilic inorganic powder having a specific surface area of 100 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g or more. The polyolefin-based resin includes 20 to 50 mass%.
