<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly precisely adjust slot interval. <P>SOLUTION: A coating apparatus 10 includes a slot die 12 and an adjusting means 30 adjusting the slot interval. The slot die 12 has a manifold 14 provided inside a body and a slot 16 communicated with the manifold 14. The adjusting means 30 adjusting the slot interval are provided on an upper die block 20. The adjusting means 30 includes a block 31 having a leg part 32, a fixing bolt 33, adjusting bolts 34, 35. The block 31 is set so as to abut the leg part 32 on the upper die block 20. The fixing bolt 33 passes through the leg part 32 of the block 31 and is extended inside the upper die block 20. The adjusting bolts 34, 35 pass through a region excluding the leg part 32 of the block 31, and are extended inside the upper die block 20.
