<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery which allows the formation of a conducting path for voltage sensing, etc. without presenting a problem such as the reduction in durability of a gasket. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel battery includes: an anode-side separator 4 having a cooling face 42; and a coolant flow path 7 provided on the cooling face 42 of the anode-side separator 4 for circulating coolant. The anode-side separator 4 includes a portion formed by a conductive material, where a fuel flow path and the coolant flow path 7 are formed, and a portion surrounding it, which is formed by an insulative material. The fuel battery has a cooling face-side gasket 16 surrounding the coolant flow path 7 interposed between the anode-side separator 4 and the cathode-side separator.
