<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply device capable of off-control of a switching element without using a resistor element, also adaptable to switching power supplies with different types of circuit configurations as well as capable of significant downsizing of the switching power supply. <P>SOLUTION: According to an embodiment of the invention, the switching power supply device comprises a series connection and plural external terminals. The series connection includes a first switching element, a constant current element, and a diode which are connected in series and integrated.
