PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present candidates for photographing settings only when a user repeats necessary retakes instead of making recommendation for photographing all the time.

SOLUTION: An imaging device has: means for discriminating a scene from a photographing image (step S501); means for counting the predetermined operation number of similar scenes (step S503); and means for determining whether the number of the similar scenes exceeds a predetermined number (step S504). If the number of the similar scenes exceeds the predetermined number, the imaging device presents corresponding candidates for photographing settings.
