A ring D2 is also composed in the same way. These rings D1, D2 are connected by a plurality of legs. The lower half 22b of the birdcage coil 22 can thereby be further separated by maximum &Delta;x from an RF shield 23 than the upper half 22a of the birdcage coil 22.
