摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welded joint structure of a structural member capable of suppressing generation of stress corrosion cracking in the thickness direction of the structural member to be welded, and also to provide a welding method used for the same. <P>SOLUTION: A welding torch 50 is made perpendicular to butted faces 2 of piping 1a, 1b and is arranged in the axial direction of the piping 1a; the welding torch 50 is made to face the butted faces 2, and while moving the welding torch 50 in the circumferential direction of the piping 1a overlayed layers 3a, 3b are formed at the respective butted faces 2 (B). Bevels 4a, 4b are formed at the overlayed layers 3a, 3b, respectively (C), and the bevel 4a of the piping 1a and the 3 bevel 4b of the piping 1b are arranged to face each other (D). Butt welding between the piping 1a and the piping 1b is carried out and a weld metal part 5 is formed between the bevel 4a and the bevel 4b.
