COMPOSITE RESIN AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite resin which aims the effective use of sericin and can easily be molded, to provide a molded article comprising the composite resin, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This composite resin comprises a partially hydrolyzed PVA resin containing sericin in an amount of 0.5 to 18 wt.%. The composite resin is obtained by drying an aqueous solution containing sericin and partially hydrolyzed PVA resin or by kneading sericin powder with melted partially saponified PVA resin.
