The present invention discloses a relay-based media channel establishing method and a system thereof, wherein the method includes the following steps: during a session negotiation process between a first User Equipment (UE) and a second UE, a media relay control server allocates a first service identifier and a second service identifier, distributes the first service identifier to the first UE, distributes the second service identifier to the second UE, and distributes the first service identifier and the second service identifier to a media relay device; the media relay device receives the service identifiers reported by the first UE and the second UE; the media relay device verifies, according to the first service identifier and the second service identifier distributed by the media relay control server, the service identifiers reported by the first UE and the second UE, and establishes the media channel between the first UE and the second UE if the verification is passed. Utilizing this invention, the security of the connection between the network nodes is improved.
