The present invention discloses a High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) physical resource configuration method. The method includes that: a network side transmits HSUPA physical resource configuration information of at least one frequency point to a terminal through a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message, the RRC message is a new added RRC message or an expended existing RRC message. The present invention also discloses an HSUPA physical resource configuration system, correspondingly. By the application of the present invention, the network side can configure different HSUPA physical resources aiming at different frequency points, which facilitates at the application of the multi-carrier HSUPA binding technique.
