POLARIZING PLATE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF, AND LAMINATED OPTICAL MEMBER AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate that can prevent a protective film from breaking and can achieve thinning the whole body, and a manufacturing method thereof, and to provide a laminated optical member and a liquid crystal display device using the same.

SOLUTION: A polarizing plate 10 comprises: a polarizing film 11 comprising a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film to which a dichroic dye is absorbed and aligned; and protective films 12 and 13 comprising an acrylic resin that is laminated on the both sides of this polarizing film 11 and is stretched. This acrylic resin is an acrylic resin composition where 25 to 45 wt.% of rubber elastic body particles having a number average particle diameter of 10 to 300 nm is mixed into a transparent acrylic resin. In addition, the acrylic resin is preferably uniaxially stretched in the machine direction (MD) or in the direction (TD) orthogonal to the machine direction or biaxially stretched simultaneously or successively in the machine direction (MD) and in the direction (TD) orthogonal to the machine direction.
