<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an adverse effect on an image caused by a developer sticking to and dropping from recesses formed on a shaft part of a screw type developer conveying member. <P>SOLUTION: A developer conveying member 72 is placed and used in a developing device 13 and conveys the developer in the developing device 13. The developer conveying member 72 comprises: a plurality of screws 72c on the outer periphery of a shaft part 72b of the developer conveying member 72; a metal shaft 72a in the center of the shaft part; and cylindrical recesses 90 on the shaft part on the downstream side from the half of a pitch S between adjacent screws in a developer conveying direction B formed on the shaft part by support members 95 to support the shaft 72a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
