<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to simply perform both a scroll operation and a selection operation. <P>SOLUTION: A display device according to an embodiment comprises a display section, a touch panel, a detection section, a scroll control section and a cursor control section. The display section displays a part of electronic data on a screen. The touch panel inputs a position on the screen. The detection section detects a first touch operation onto the touch panel and a second touch operation started while the first touch operation continues. The scroll control section performs a scroll display of electronic data based on a first movement pattern representing the movement pattern of a position input by the first touch operation.
