<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method of coliform bacilli, capable of quickly determining whether the coliform bacilli in a sample are negative. <P>SOLUTION: The detection method comprises inoculating a detection objective sample of coliform bacilli on a culture medium (BGLB culture medium or the like) capable of culturing the coliform bacilli (step S1), culturing the sample-inoculated medium at ≥30°C but ≤40°C for ≥3.5 h but ≤5 h (step S2), adding a surfactant to the cultured medium, heating the surfactant-added medium to be about 40-50°C and filtrating the heated medium with a filter (step S3), dispersing in a liquid the residue remaining on the filter to prepare a suspension of the residue and measuring the cell number contained in the suspension with a flow cytometer (step S4), and determining whether the coliform bacilli in the sample are negative, based on the measured cell number (step S5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
