PACKET AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM, AUTHENTICATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system, authentication method, and program, in which a sender or a receiver of a packet can be authenticated for each packet without being provided with an authentication protocol different from the one for sending/receiving the packet and without a packet transfer capability being affected.

SOLUTION: An authentication system comprises a first device and a second device that is connected with the first device through a first network. The first device includes: an authentication data embedding part for embedding authentication data in a data packet; and a packet transmission part for transmitting the data packet, in which the authentication data is embedded, to the second device. The second device includes: a packet reception part for receiving the data packet from the first device; an authentication data extraction part for extracting the authentication data from the received data packet; and a validity determination part for determining the validity of a sender or a receiver of the data packet on the basis of the extracted authentication data.
