<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively achieve the automatic stop of an idle stop engine causing no vehicle sliding-down on a slope or the like without installing any device for automatically compensating for the shortage of a braking force. <P>SOLUTION: Under the condition that with respect to the road surface gradient of a travel path detected by an inclination sensor 9, brake fluid pressure detected by a brake fluid pressure sensor 3 is equal to or more than a braking force at which sliding-down does not occur even when the engine stops and a creeping force is eliminated, the determination means of a control processing part 10 determines satisfaction of a braking condition, thereby an engine stop condition is established and the idle stop engine is automatically stopped. Whereas, when the brake fluid pressure detected by the brake fluid pressure sensor 3 is fluid pressure at which sliding-down may occur when the engine stops and the creeping force is eliminated, the automatic stop of the idle stop engine is not performed to surely prevent the occurrence of sliding-down. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
