<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently desalinate saline water and improving recovery ratio of desalinated water. <P>SOLUTION: A saline water desalination system 1 comprises a plurality of desalination apparatuses 10 connected in multiple stages. Each desalination apparatus 10 includes: a clathrate generation chamber 20 generating clathrate by bringing saline water or desalinated water generated in the pre-stage desalination apparatus 10 into contact with guest gas at a clathrate generation temperature and a clathrate generation pressure of the guest gas; and a clathrate separation/cleaning chamber 30 performing solid-liquid separation of the clathrate and concentrated saline water by discharging the concentrated saline water generated with the generation of the clathrate and then decomposing the clathrate to generate desalinated water. The clathrate separation/cleaning chamber 30 uses the concentrated saline water discharged from the post-stage desalination apparatus 10, and heats and decomposes the clathrate subjected to the solid-liquid separation while performing the cleaning. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
