<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fraudulent action of a player by invalidating detection information when a game state is other than a normal game state. <P>SOLUTION: A pinball game machine includes: a ball payout means 40 for paying out prize balls by winning processing based on the detection information from winning detection switches 28-35; a symbol display means 22 for varying symbols for a predetermined time by variation processing based on game ball detection information from a symbol starting means 14 and then stopping them; a profit state generation means 58 for generating a profit state advantageous for a player on the condition that the stop symbol after variation in the symbol variation means 22 becomes a predetermined symbol; and an invalidation means 52 for invalidating the detection information.
