<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker that has a cleaning process for facilitating the removal of smell and stain from a rice cooking pot and an inner lid, and is superior in energy-saving performance while maintaining high cleaning action. <P>SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes a forced convection device 20 for generating a forced convection in a pot 2 equipped in the rice cooker body 1. The rice cooker is provided with a cleaning process for cleaning the inside of the pot 2 with the forced convection generated by the forced convection device 20 while the temperature of an object to be cooked in the pot 2 is maintained at the rice gelatinization starting temperature or more and at a predetermined temperature of less than the boiling point. The cleaning process can, even without a boiling convection, heat the inside of the pot 2 and clean the pot 2 by agitation action which has a cleaning effect equivalent to cleaning by boiling or more, thus providing a rice cooker superior in energy-saving performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
