<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a U-shaped seal superior in sealing stability to a sealing object plane making an eccentric rotary motion such as a scroll compressor. <P>SOLUTION: This U-shaped seal includes a resin seal body 10 having a cross-sectional shape of a U shape, and a metallic internal facing elastic body 20 installed in a recessed groove 11 of the seal body 10.
