<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid pressure shock absorber for holding a cylinder by its head member and a bottom member, which is capable of decreasing the number of component parts of the shock absorber and the man-days for the assembling operation. <P>SOLUTION: The fluid pressure shock absorber includes a fork body consisting of an outer tube 1 and an inner tube 2, the cylinder 31 equipped with the bottom member 20, a damper 3, and a reservoir R, the damper 3 being upright at the axis of the inner tube 2, and a base 34 as the bottom part of the cylinder 31, and functions so that it holds the cylinder 31 by the head member 30 and the bottom member 20 by inserting the cylinder 31 into the inner tube 2 coupled with the bottom member 20 and securing the head member 30 to a coupling means J for coupling with the bore of the inner tube 2, wherein the shock absorber further includes an engaging means which consists of an inserting shaft 36c and a groove for insertion 20e and supports the cylinder 31 in upright attitude by engaging the base 34 with the bottom 20e of the bottom member 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
