METHOD FOR REINFORCING EXISTING FOUNDATION FOR STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reinforcing an existing foundation for a structure, capable of rationally, economically and firmly reinforcing the existing foundation for the structure equipped with an existing footing constructed on a pile.

SOLUTION: In a method for reinforcing an existing foundation for a structure equipped with an existing footing 4 constructed on a pile 3, a steel sheet pile wall 5 constituted by coupling a plurality of U-shaped steel sheet piles to one another in a corrugated shape in a plan view is constructed on the periphery of the existing footing 4. A steel pipe pile 7 is driven into the ground in the inside valley section of the steel sheet pile wall 5 so that the steel sheet pile wall 5 and the steel pipe pile 7 can be integrated together by coupling means. Concrete is placed between the steel sheet pile wall 5 and the existing footing 4 to construct a newly-constructed footing 9. The steel sheet pile wall 5 and the steel pipe pile 7 are integrated with the existing footing 4 by integration means.
