<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide metal powder for cold spray allowing a thick coating to be formed efficiently by cold spray. <P>SOLUTION: The metal powder for cold spray contains first metal particles having a first mean diameter by an amount of 20 to 70 mass%, and the residue comprises second metal particles having a second mean diameter larger than the first mean diameter, so that the particle diameters are distributed bimodally. The mean diameter of the second metal particles is 200 μm or below and is 1.5 times or more of the mean diameter of the first metal particles.
