<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immunostimulator containing an acid mucopolysaccharide as an active ingredient. <P>SOLUTION: The immunostimulator contains an acid mucopolysaccharide or its physiologically acceptable salt or a derivative as an active ingredient, wherein a sugar constituent is composed of N-acetyl-D-glucosamine, D-galacturonic acid, N-acetyl-D-galactosamine, D-galactose, pyruvic acid, and D-alanine, and the average molecular weight is 1,000,000-1,500,000 on the basis of a pullulan standard in measurement by gel filtration chromatography. The immunostimulator has nitrogen monoxide (NO) production-inducing activity, TNF-α production-inducing activity, IL-12 production-inducing activity, and INF-γ production-inducing activity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
