<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert multi-channel sound signals into optimal sound when performing down-mix processing on the multi-channel sound signals. <P>SOLUTION: A sound signal conversion device converts sound signals consist of a first signal level and a second signal level, corresponding to a number of channels preliminary set. The sound signal conversion device includes balance measuring means which measures mix balance of signal levels against a sound signal of the first signal level and a sound signal of the second signal level when sound signals corresponding to a first number of channels are down mixed to sound signals corresponding to a second number of channels; gain adjustment amount calculation means which calculates gain adjustment amount of the first or second signal level based on a measurement result; gain adjustment means which adjusts gain of the first or second signal level based on the gain adjustment amount; and composite means which composes sound signals of the first and second signal levels by using gain adjusted sound signals, and outputs the sound signals corresponding to the second number of channels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
