<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a level of specular reflection light which is specularly reflected by surfaces of a document placement plate and a document guide plate to be read after entering a reading unit, without decreasing an illumination level of a document. <P>SOLUTION: A top face 44b of a document guide plate 44 is inclined at an inclination angle β with respect to a top surface 43b and an under surface 43a of a document placement plate 43, and is parallel to a straight conveyance path 63, although an under face 44a of the document guide plate 44 is on the same surface of or in parallel with the under surface 43a of the document placement plate 43. Thereby, an incident angle α1 of illumination light from a light source 46 of a first reading unit 45 to the document placement plate 43 becomes equal to an incident angle α3 (=α1) of illumination light from the light source 46 of the first reading unit 45 to the document guide plate 44. Accordingly, when the incident angle α1 of illumination light from the light source 46 of the first reading unit 45 to the document placement plate 43 is adjusted to be a proper value, the incident angle α3 of illumination light to the document guide plate 44 is adjusted at the same time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
