摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow rate estimating apparatus capable of easily estimating a flow rate of a heating medium without using a sensor for detecting the flow rate of the heating medium, and to provide a heat source machine and a flow rate estimating method. <P>SOLUTION: A cold-water inlet temperature sensor T<SB POS="POST">in</SB>detects an inlet temperature of cold water flowing into an evaporator and a cold water outlet temperature sensor T<SB POS="POST">OUT</SB>detects an outlet temperature of cold water flowing out of the evaporator. Furthermore, the temperature of a refrigerant is detected based on the pressure of the refrigerant in the evaporator which is detected by an evaporation pressure sensor PE. Then, a cold-water flow rate estimation part 50 estimates a flow rate of cold water by a physical model expressing the heat balance of cold water flowing into/out of the evaporator. The physical model is expressed by using the detected cold-water inlet temperature, the detected cold-water outlet temperature, the detected refrigerant temperature, and a value concerned with heat transfer from the evaporator to cold water.
