<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid separation device capable of effectively making use of non-filtrate water for washing a filtration means, and preventing a decline in a filtration function of the filtration means. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid separation device 100 includes a discharging means 102 discharging a liquid L, and the filtration means 104 filtrating the liquid L. At least a part of the filtration means 104 is an exposed part 106 exposed in the air. The filtration means 104 separates the liquid L into filtration water L1 and the non-filtration water L2 in the exposed part 106 of the filtration means 104.
