The electric motor has a rotor (8) which comprises a punching metal sheet package, a central shaft (9), several radially arranged permanent magnets and a plastic sheathing (10). The plastic sheathing is comprised of thermosetting polymer material, and is provided around all the components of the rotor. The central shaft is provided with graphite portion and metallic core. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing rotor of electric motor.
