<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire, excellent in rain-groove wandering performance while suppressing degradation of driving stable performance. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire has a plurality of land parts, divided by a plurality of peripheral-direction grooves, on a tread, and has a plurality of narrow grooves along at least one edge part of the peripheral-direction grooves. In the pneumatic tire, the width of depth of cut in each of the narrow grooves on the land parts satisfies the following (a) and (b), and the width of depth of cut in each of the peripheral-direction grooves on a shoulder side is large than the width of depth of cut in each of the peripheral-direction grooves on a center side. In the (a), the width of depth of cut in each of the narrow grooves is 0.6-2.0 mm in the peripheral-direction grooves within an area, the distance of which is less than 1/3 of the distance between a centerline and a grounding edge, from the center line.
