<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch to a user's intended imaging mode among a plurality of imaging modes with a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device determines whether a currently set imaging mode is associated with a predetermined operation input as an operation input changeable from the current imaging mode to another imaging mode. Then, if the currently set imaging mode is associated with the predetermined operation input, the imaging device discriminates whether an operation input performed by a user is the predetermined operation input.
