<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a section into which smoke does not flow by partitioning the inside of a hoistway with partition members in the event of fire to evacuate people safely by operating a car in the section, appropriately maintain relationships among the partition members, a main rope, a guide rail and a counterweight, and achieve high smoke insulation performance. <P>SOLUTION: A partition device 22 is provided in the middle of the hoistway 1 and a pair of partition members 24a and 24b of the partition device 22 rotate and spread out in a horizontal state in the event of fire so that the cross section in the hoistway 1 is partitioned into an upper and lower parts. A notch is provided to the partition members 24a and 24b to cause a main rope 9 and a guide rail in the hoistway 1 to escape and enable the passage of the counterweight 3. When a fire is detected, control is performed so that the car 2 moves to a position below the partition device 22, then the hoistway 1 is partitioned into upper and lower parts with the partition members 24a and 24b, the car 2 is operated in the lower section and used for the evacuation of people in a building. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
