<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, in the case that image recording is performed by moving a nozzle row in a row direction by D/4 equal to or shorter than a nozzle distance D, a stripe like density variation is generated because four dot rows are continuously recorded by an identical nozzle by characteristic variations of nozzles. <P>SOLUTION: This image recorder integrally moves a plurality of recording heads in a direction of the arrangement of nozzles. At this time, the image recorder sets a nozzle row switching position to a position that satisfies a condition that nozzles of both the recording heads are surely placed in a range in which distances from both sides of the nozzle row switching position are shorter than the nozzle interval whenever the movement of the nozzle rows used by adjacent recording heads takes place. The image recorder determines a starting nozzle and an ending nozzle in the nozzle row to be used in each of the recording heads so as to perform recording by the nozzles of either the recording heads at a portion in the vicinity of the switching position, and then records an image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
