<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding structure excellent in seizure resistance, including a sliding member having a Cu-based bearing alloy layer and a sliding object member having a diamond like carbon layer, and to provide a sliding member used for the sliding structure. <P>SOLUTION: The sliding structure 1 includes a sliding member 2 and a sliding object member 3 relatively sliding to each other, wherein the sliding member 2 has a Cu-based bearing alloy layer 4 that forms a sliding surface, while the sliding object member 3 has a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) layer 6 that forms a sliding surface, and the Cu-based bearing alloy layer 4 includes hard particles 4b.
